What is CWW?

​

Camp Wildwood is South Carolina’s conservation leadership camp dedicated to inspiring and training the next generation of natural resource stewards. Held annually at Kings Mountain State Park, this summer program offers rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders a unique opportunity to explore wildlife, forestry, fisheries, and conservation topics through hands-on learning and outdoor activities.

2026 Camp Details:

​

  • Dates: June 21-27, 2026

  • Location: Kings Mountain State Park, York County, SC

  • Cost: $300 per week (includes all activities and lodging) — one of the most affordable camps in the state

  • Eligibility: Rising 10th-12th graders regardless of background

  • Capacity: Approximately 96 co-ed campers

 

Program Highlights:

  • Educational Activities:

    • Wildlife, fisheries, forestry, and hunter education classes taught outdoors by professional natural resource staff

    • Instruction in firearm safety, orienteering, first aid, and conservation principles

    • Swimming, porterball, volleyball, fishing, nightly dances, and more
